Miklens Bio is a research-based agricultural company with focus on bio-agri inputs as its principle business. Our expertise in developing novel products has made us capable to serve our customers and stakeholders better by creating value in terms of returns. Our products are the best alternatives to chemical fertilizers as they are reasonably priced considering price sensitive Indian agriculture input industry, also helps in improving the productivity of the crop along with its quality and eventually profitability of the farmer community and the nation as a whole.

Miklens Bio is all set to reform the agricultural scenario and gearing up to become the leading agricultural biotechnology company, which works tirelessly to better the lives of thousands of farmers across the country and help them meet the food needs of the population. We are also dedicated to preserving natural resources and the environment.

In order to accomplish our vision, we have developed a unique technology platform that enables the development of alternative products that are safer, more effective, less invasive and more economical than conventional chemical agricultural products.

The company has around 30 employees and a modern research facility located at Bangalore.

Santosh Nair

Mr. Santosh Nair is a graduate from Mumbai University with a specialization in Chemistry. He chose Finance as his mainstream while obtaining his Master’s degree in Management from NMIMS and also holds an Executive Degree in Finance from IIM Ahmedabad. Mr. Santosh Nair has two decades of experience in the banking and finance sector and has worked with giants such as Merrill Lynch and HDFC Bank.

At Merrill Lynch, he was a part of the Global Wealth Management Group and managed Indian business for the group. He spent more than a decade in HDFC Bank as Head – Retail Banking and managed retail branches of western region. The growing competition in retail banking led Mr. Santosh Nair to handle a larger role as Head of Retails Banking (South India) for bringing up retail banking in South India.

After moving to Bangalore, he realized technology is a key aspect driving the growth of agriculture in India. Mr. Santosh believed that agriculture is the pulse of our nation and wanted to empower farmers for increasing their productivity and maintaining the ecology. This thought led to the formation of Miklens Bio Pvt. Ltd. With his experience and expertise in the field of finance, he is expanding the presence of Miklens Bio all across India and worldwide. His passion for clean agriculture makes him the perfect advocate for Residue-Free Cultivation.

Amit Kumar Saran

A passionate agriculturist & a sports enthusiast in which his passion turned into profession – sports. It has given me the thrill and excitement which most of us crave for. It was a gradual shift from my corporate world (21 years) and wish to provide the right mix of infrastructure, training and competition. I still continue to promote sports with special focus on football with a team of dedicated professionals.

Circa 1978 - completed of my management degree (sales and marketing) from MONIRBA, University of Allahabad. Got stationed in different metros – Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and finally Bangalore in 1994 which has been our abode ever since.

Seasoned entrepreneur with over two decades of experience across a range of diverse sectors such as mining, real estate and agriculture. His deep expertise and hands on experience in business development, marketing and operations has given him a unique perspective to guide and advise business leaders through complex market challenges. Gautam sits on boards of several not-for-profit and for profit entities in traditional and new economies.

Dr. Devanesan 

Stephen Devanesan, the former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Associate Director of Research Kerala Agricultural University, had fine-tuned his professional career mostly in the apiary sector. Groomed as an entomologist, he laid his signature as a connoisseur in Bee industry. His vision and timely intervention had succeeded in sorting out rampant spread of Thai Sac Brood Virus among Indian Bees Apis cerana indica, which virtually wiped out honey industry in South India.

His research experience in the apiary field spans over two decades and has officiated as Professor and Principal Scientist in the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Honey Bees and Pollinators representing Kerala Agricultural University in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Besides being a member of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for honey, he is currently officiating as the President of Indian Agricultural Association, General Secretary of Federation of Indigenous Apiculturists (FIA), an organisation of Beekeepers in Kerala and serving as the Chief editor of a quarterly bulletin in Malayalam titled ‘THENEECHAKARSHAKAN’ under the banner of FIA.

Dr Ashwati Radhakrishnana

Dr. R. Aswati Nair is an Associate Professor at Dept of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Central University of Kerala(CUK). She has been working in the area of plant disease biology since 2006 and has received ample professional training and expertise to execute the objectives outlined in the project. She had completed four projects sponsored by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Department of Science & Technology (DST) and Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE).

Her team had been associated with understanding the defense mechanisms of a wild ginger congener viz., Z. zerumbet. Towards this direction, research has been done towards R-gene characterization and metabolic pathway analysis of sesquiterpenoid zerumbone, the principal secondary metabolite in Z. zerumbet that is not available commercially and also not accessible by chemical synthesis routes. The endophytes isolated and characterized as part her research had been used for developing a formulation against soft-rot disease of ginger caused by Pythium species as part of BIG-12 grant.

It is evident that we pay very close attention to meeting these standards:

  • Our research and development facilities, and all of our processing facilities, surpass mandatory safety requirements, and has the most modern and reliable equipment.
  • Safety training programs for all the employees are conducted often at all our facilities. The training includes behavioural training that plays an important role in keeping our employees safe at work.
  • Safety audits by independent, expert auditors are carried out periodically, as mandated by the relevant laws, to ensure another layer of protection for our employees.
  • Use of the newest, most-energy efficient technology and devices at all our premises helps us ensure that the carbon footprint of the company is reduced as much as possible.
