The fungus Beauveria bassiana is an antagonistic fungus which prevents the crop from insect pests (Mealy bugs, American bollworm and other larva pests, Beatles, white fly, Jassids, thrips, mites, and termites). When the spores of MIKBASS come in contact with the cuticle (skin) of the target insect pests it germinates and grows directly through the spiracle, cuticle into the inner body of the host. The fungus proliferates throughout the insect’s body, draining the insect’s nutrients and the infected insects, eventually die.
